{"id":808,"date":"2009-12-17T18:33:34","date_gmt":"2009-12-18T02:33:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lookforwardconsulting.com\/?p=808"},"modified":"2025-10-03T10:11:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T09:11:09","slug":"spanish-one-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thescrumacademy.com\/es\/2009\/12\/17\/spanish-one-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Spanish: One Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have had a lot of fun working on my Spanish at <a href=\"https:\/\/purabuenaonda.com\">Pura Buena Onda<\/a> and listening to podcasts from the folks at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.notesinspanish.com\/\">Notes in Spanish<\/a> in 2009.\u00a0\u00a0Today, I met with Carolina &#8211; who is an excellent, excellent instructor &#8211; to check on my progress and make some new goals for 2010. \u00a0In 2009, I just wanted to get better at conversation; improve my listening comprehension and pick up my pace and confidence speaking. \u00a0In 2010, I want to get to the next level and begin using Spanish in my work.<\/p>\n<p>These are my strengths:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent comprehension.<\/li>\n<li>Good vocabulary (actually she said &#8220;great&#8221;).<\/li>\n<li>Great pronunciation of the letter \u201cj\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Passion for the language, dedication &amp; willingness to use it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are the areas I need to work on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All verb tenses.<\/li>\n<li>Ser &amp; Estar.<\/li>\n<li>The use of haber.<\/li>\n<li>Pronunciation w\/random words\u2026often words with accents or many syllables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The good thing about all these things? \u00a0They are all grammar related. \u00a0&#8220;All I need to do&#8221; is to study grammar more and I can bump up my Spanish to the next level! \u00a0Of course, easier said than done, but certainly achievable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have had a lot of fun working on my Spanish at Pura Buena Onda and listening to podcasts from the folks at Notes in Spanish in 2009.\u00a0\u00a0Today, I met  [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":7583,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"_price":"","_stock":"","_tribe_ticket_header":"","_tribe_default_ticket_provider":"","_tribe_ticket_capacity":"0","_ticket_start_date":"","_ticket_end_date":"","_tribe_ticket_show_description":"","_tribe_ticket_show_not_going":false,"_tribe_ticket_use_global_stock":"","_tribe_ticket_global_stock_level":"","_global_stock_mode":"","_global_stock_cap":"","_tribe_rsvp_for_event":"","_tribe_ticket_going_count":"","_tribe_ticket_not_going_count":"","_tribe_tickets_list":"[]","_tribe_ticket_has_attendee_info_fields":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-808","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-personal"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
